Thank you to everyone who participated in our Holy Week services! We hope the nearly 100 of you who came to a tremendous Easter morning service today, followed by the church school Easter Egg Hunt! We hope all who attended either Holy Trinity or Grace Episcopal Church during Holy Week had a positive spiritual experience.

Saturday Services and Baptism
On June 8th and June 22nd, we will once again be offering Saturday services at 5:00 pm at Holy Trinity with Father Anthony Puca, with the option to hold it outside as weather permits.
The Saturday service on June 8th will feature the baptism of Abby and Richie Discepolo, the children of Rosanne and Joe Discepolo, and grandchildren of Sandy and Neil Wates.
Confirmation – Saturday, May 11th
Please mark your calendars and join us on Saturday, May 11th at 10:00 am at St. Paul’s Church in Englewood, NJ to watch our candidates take part in the sacrament of Holy Confirmation. This is a momentous day for our young parishioners, and a terrific opportunity to continue to support them and their service to God.
Our confirmands are also uniquely gifts, and in many cases they possess gifts that they have not yet realized or been called to use. They are also the next generations of families and leaders within our church and our communities, and our support means more to them than any of us can truly understand. Lets #packthepews at St. Paul’s on May 11th and provide the strongest level of support we are capable of for these wonderful confirmands.
St. Paul’s Church is located at 113 Engle Street, Englewood, NJ 07631. The service will begin promptly at 10:00 am and usually lasts between 1 ½ and 2 hours. There is no reception at St. Paul’s afterwards.
On Sunday, May 5th, we will celebrate our confirmands at Holy Trinity with an extra special Hospitality Hour.
Church Picnic with Hillsdale Methodist Church – June 2nd
Our annual Church Picnic will be held on Sunday, June 2nd at Beechwood Park in Hillsdale, NJ. The standard service times will apply, but we will congregate at Beechwood Park instead of Holy Trinity. Please dress for the occasion and bring any lounge chairs, blankets, bug spray, sunscreen, etc.
Additional details regarding items to bring for the picnic will be made available in the coming weeks.
Bishop Carlye Hughes’ Visit on May 12th
We are excited to welcome the newly elected 11th Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Newark, the Rt. Reverend Carlye Hughes, to Holy Trinity on Sunday, May 12th. This also happens to be Mother’s Day, so Bishop Hughes will be treated to some of the things Holy Trinity does best – families, celebrations, and of course, great food.
We realize that Mother’s Day is an important family holiday as well as a church holiday, but we ask you to please mark your calendars and consider making the service at Holy Trinity and ensuing Mother’s Day Breakfast a major priority that day. Immediately following the breakfast, Bishop Hughes will hold a special forum for all parishioners in attendance. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Wardens, Bonnie Fitzpatrick and / or Russell Chapman.
An appeal for Christian Education Teachers for the 2019-2020 school year
With a number of our church school teachers going to college and the general challenges that come with Christian Ed attendance, we are making a push for active parishioners who would be willing and able to serve as Church School teachers.
For years, Christian Education has been a major strength of Holy Trinity’s, and now with our new Priest-in-Charge Anthony Puca being well-versed in ministry to youth, the opportunity exists to bring on new people to serve in one of the most critical and impactful roles in our Christian ministry – caring for and teaching our kids.
If you are interested and willing to discuss this ministry, please speak with Craig Kardell or a member of the Holy Trinity vestry.
Check-In At Church
For those of you who are Social Media savvy, please consider sharing your Sunday morning with your social networks and #CheckInAtChurch.
In addition to “checking in” on Facebook or posting a photo or a post on Instagram or Twitter, we also ask you to please make sure you interact with Holy Trinity’s social media channels in the following ways:
“Like” us on Facebook and share posts / events / news: https://www.facebook.com/holytrinitynj/
“Like” and “Retweet” our Tweets on Twitter: @HolyTrinityNJ
Post photos / tag Holy Trinity on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/holytrinityepiscopalchurch/
This is an especially important endeavor for our youth in the church who are more active on social media, and is a tremendous opportunity for our young people to support Holy Trinity.
